Harbans Singh was a Sikh sub-inspector of Delhi Police, posted at the Yamunipuri police station. He testified that on the afternoon of 31 Oct, all officers were armed with weapons and ammunition by the head constable, but he was refused these arms. He also stated that while an order to send a force to confront a group of Sikhs who were supposedly moving towards the Angad Nagar area. But when reports of Sikh homes and Gurdwaras being attacked came through the police wireless, no action was taken. At about 5pm on 1 November, he saw between 10 and 15 dead bodies in a private tempo, parked in front of the police station.1
In Vijay Park, Maujpur, a violent mob attacked the home of Sardar Prem Singh at 10am on 2 Nov. He was burnt alive along with his two sons, Swaran Singh and Prem Singh.2
Avtar Singh of Punjabi Colony, Gamri stated that on 1 November, at about 10.30, an armed mob attacked the Gurdwara at Punjabi Colony, and killing the Sewadar (volunteer) and his family who were in the Gurdwara. Avtar managed to escape and concealed himself on a rooftop. From there, he saw between 40 to 50 burnt dead bodies of Sikhs, lying in the street.3
