Gurdwara Bhui Bhulaian of Shastri Nagar near Sarai Rohilla was looted and demolished, including 28 rooms, brick by brick. The bricks were promptly removed by the culprits. What was shocking was that all twenty persons named in the affidavit of Harbhajan Kaur, submitted before the Misra Commission were named and residents of the same block in Shastri Nagar.1

Gurdwara Shri Guru Singh Sabha in Sarai Rohilla also came at sustain attack on the afternoon of 1 November. A small group of local Sikh residents managed to repel the attacks from a huge crowd. After some time, the police arrived and announced that the Sikhs should stay inside the Gurdwara. No action was taken against the mob outside. Once the Sikhs had gone in, the nearby Railway Protection Force began firing towards the Sikhs. The firing continued for about an hour and approximately 100 rounds were fired. In total, seven devotees were killed, Mohan Lal, Jagjit Singh, age 25, Surinder Singh, Monoharlal Dewan and Paramjit Singh. Surjit Singh was thrown down from the high roof of the Gurdwara and set ablaze with kerosene oil.2
